What does a quotable page contain?
- A short answer at the top. One to three sentences that stand alone.
- A question as the heading where the page answers a question.
- Plain facts in a table or list. Who, what, where, how long.
- A dated source for any external fact.
- Text, not images of text.
- A visible date that matches the structured data.
- One owner responsible for keeping it current.
What does before and after look like?
| Before | After |
|---|---|
| "Precision, delivered. Your partner in industrial excellence." | "Fictional Supplier sells industrial sensors and on-site calibration to Australian utilities from Sydney." |
What should you avoid?
- Openers that are slogans with no answer.
- Key facts only in images or scripts.
- Claims with no source.
- Hidden text written for machines. It is poor practice and risks penalties from search engines.
How do you check one of your pages in ten minutes?
