Why now

AI is now how people find you and how your people work. Both need to be accurate, safe and accountable. That is what Aura8 does.

Found · Discover by Aura8

When clients ask AI who to hire, give it a reason to name you.

More clients now ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity or Google's AI Overviews before they call anyone. Discover makes your firm easier for those answers to find, understand and cite. That's AEO and GEO, in plain English.

How Discover works

Scroll to step through. Four weeks from kickoff to launch, then monthly care.

  1. Step 1

    Diagnose

We agree the client questions that matter and record what AI assistants and Google say about you today, dated.

  2. Step 2

    Build

We fix the foundation: AI crawlers can reach your site and every key page reads without scripts.

  3. Step 3

    Clarify

Schema and matching facts on your website, Google Business Profile and directories say who you are, what you do and where.

  4. Step 4

    Answer and re-test

We publish plain answers to client questions, then re-test the same questions every month and report what changed.

Discover is quoted for your business, in AUD, agreed in writing. The AI Visibility Score is free.

A Prohibited AI tool, stopped at the browser

A Finance user opens an AI tool the company has marked Prohibited. Here's what they see, and what the admin sees. Sample data.

  1. Step 1 of 4A Finance user opens FastNotes AI, a tool the company has marked Prohibited.A Finance user at Sample Co. types fastnotes-ai.example into Chrome's address bar and presses Enter. FastNotes AI is an AI tool the company has marked Prohibited in its AI Tool Catalog.
  2. Step 2 of 4On managed Chrome and Edge, Shadow Guardian blocks AI tools you've marked Prohibited. The Shadow Guardian Chrome extension replaces the page with its block page: the badge Prohibited, the heading “FastNotes AI is prohibited”, “Blocked navigation to fastnotes-ai.example”, “This tool is not approved for company use.”, a Take me back button, and a note that the decision is logged and set by the company's AI Tool Catalog, source policy tool_catalog.
  3. Step 3 of 4Shortly after, the block shows up on the tool's page in Guardian.Shadow Guardian doesn't send alerts or emails. Shortly after, it shows up in Guardian: the admin opens FastNotes AI's page. The Unique users, Site visits and Blocked tiles go from 0 to 1, Finance user is the top user, and Recent activity lists the block: “Finance user was blocked from visiting fastnotes-ai.example”, the reason “This tool is not approved for company use.”, the badges blocked, prohibited and hard block, and “2 minutes ago”. Only the domain is shown, never the full web address.
  4. Step 4 of 4Who, which tool, the reason, when, and what was done: all on the row.The Recent activity row shows who (Finance user), which tool (fastnotes-ai.example, the domain only), the reason (This tool is not approved for company use.), when (2 minutes ago) and the action (hard block). There's no separate detail screen: the row is the record.

Six practices. One clear picture of how you govern AI.

FAQ

Straight answers

We'll recommend one next step, never all four.

Do I need an AI policy in Australia?
There's no Australian law that requires every business to have an AI policy. But if your staff use AI tools, a short written policy is the simplest way to show how you manage privacy, confidentiality and accuracy risks. The Australian Government's Guidance for AI Adoption recommends clear accountability and rules. A free Risk Check helps you work out what your policy needs to cover.
What is shadow AI?
Shadow AI is staff using AI tools at work that the business hasn't approved or can't see, such as a free chatbot used with client information. It usually happens because the tools are useful and the rules are unclear. The fix is to see what's in use, approve good tools and steer people to them. Shadow Guardian by Aura8 helps with that.
Is ChatGPT safe for business use in Australia?
It can be, with the right settings and rules. The OAIC recommends that organisations don't enter personal information, especially sensitive information, into publicly available generative AI tools. Use a business account where possible, turn off training on your data, decide what staff may enter, and check outputs before relying on them. This is general information, not legal advice.
What changes on 10 December 2026?
From 10 December 2026, organisations covered by the Privacy Act must explain in their privacy policy when computer programs make, or substantially and directly help make, decisions that could significantly affect people using their personal information. The OAIC published its final guidance on 30 September 2026. Aura8 helps you prepare the evidence; your legal adviser finalises the wording.
What does Aura8 do?
Aura8 helps Australian organisations make AI use visible, accountable and easier to govern. Shadow Guardian by Aura8 shows which AI tools your team uses in work browsers. Our governance services help you answer client and funder questions about AI with evidence. Discover by Aura8 helps firms make their websites easier for AI search tools to find and understand.
How do I get started with Aura8?
